10th Global Business Women and Leaders Summit

The 10th Global Businesswomen and Leaders Summit – Woibex will take place next week, with an impressive line up of speakers and special guests, including HE Dr Massoumeh Ebtekar, Former Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Hon Mary Robison, Former  President of Ireland, as well as several regional and international experts and businesswomen.  Held annually to coincide with International Women’s Day, the summit addresses issues relevant to today's women. 

Woibex 2008, which is organized by Datamatix Group and sponsored by FORSA and Virgin Megastore, will take place March 8-9, at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai UAE. Top executives from both sponsors will also participate in the event as speakers. Shamsa Noor Ali Rashid, CEO, FORSA will give a presentation on the first day of the event  Women - A Different Approach to Leadership, while Nisreen Shocair,  President - Middle Region Virgin Megastore  will deliver the keynote address on the second day entitled  Businesswomen and Women Leaders’ Framework and Strategy Planning “Journey to Corporate Success

The first day of the event will open with keynote addresses from both Ebtekar and Robinson. Robinson will speak on the future challenges and opportunities facing Businesswomen and Women Leaders, while Ebtekar will discuss Leadership for Peace and Sustainable Development: The Spiritual and Feminine Factor.   Following the keynote addresses, the United Nations Development Program’s (UNDP)  Dr Khaled Alloush will deliver a presentation on  the Achievements of Arab women over the part two decades.
