This premier gathering, held annually to coincide with International Women’s Day, will witness the coming together of global businesswomen, leaders, professionals and women entrepreneurs to set trends, exercise influence, create changes and devise innovative strategies that will make a difference to women's involvement in today's competitive global markets.
Al Kamali, Managing Director – Datamatix said, “Woibex was founded in 1999 because we strongly believed then – as we do now – that women are important contributors to our economy and society, and that they have the potential to play even greater roles if they are given the right tools, encouragement, and opportunities. Woibex 2009 marks an important milestone for us, and we have worked very hard to bring speakers and special guests – world leaders, businesswomen and academics – befitting the 11th edition of what we consider to be one of our most important events.”
The summit aims to attract leading prominent women from around the globe, with an impressive line up of speakers, including Ms. Catherine A Parrish, President and CEO of NextLevel Consulting, Dr. Kanu Kogod, President of the Bridges and Ms. Safa Abdul Rahman Al-Hashem, Founder, Chairman & Managing Director of Advantage Consulting to address issues relevant to today’s women.
Successfully organized in the past several years; the summit intends to raise awareness among women professionals on the importance of updated finance and management skills and information to effectively run their business and professional careers. It further recognizes the achievements of several path breaking women from the region and encourages other women to learn from their experiences. It provides an environment conducive to the exchange of views, discussion, healthy argument and face-to-face networking among women leaders of the region.
